Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world. We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation.
Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.
As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.
As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a PLM & ALM Engineer to join the team oversee the definition, configuration, and ongoing support of PLM, ALM, CAD, and related systems, ensuring optimal performance and user proficiency across engineering teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting system architecture, configuration and maintenance for key business systems, including:
Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM system
PTC Codebeamer
Granta materials database
SharePoint repositories
Acting as the subject matter expert, leading engineers in the application of the core tools to ensure a high level of data quality and user proficiency is achieved
Advising on and supporting the integrating with interfacing systems
Development and delivery of user guidance, training materials and procedures to promote best practice and consistent use of Evolito’s PLM, ALM, CAD and related systems
Supporting the development, testing and final deployment of any new or upgraded tools
Maintenance of legacy CAD and PDM data within the SolidWorks environment
Supporting IT in defining hardware and software upgrades and testing
Liaising with 3rd party vendors and partners to resolve issues
Research and maintain good knowledge of the latest PLM, ALM, and CAD technologies and tools.
Skills and experience required:
Previous proven experience in a similar role
Good understanding of PLM and ALM systems, ideally gained within aerospace, automotive or a similar engineering-led environment
Fundamental understanding of CAD systems, preferably Siemens NX, and how they support the engineering design process
Experienced in delivering user support, creation of guidance documentation, and delivery of training
Experience supporting project planning, system testing, data migration and implementation activity
A working knowledge of system workflows and business processes, such as CAD release, BOM structures, change management, etc.
Analytical and methodical by nature with a good attention to detail, with the ability to distil user needs into requirements, and capable of prioritising work backlog
Good communication skills, and stakeholder management with the ability to explain technical information clearly to stakeholders at different levels
Flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
Ability to take ownership of tasks, with a strong focus on data quality, system integrity and compliance
Ability to work collaboratively across Engineering, IT, Quality and Operations to support effective system use and continuous improvement
Practical problem-solving approach, with the ability to investigate system issues and support timely resolution.
Desirable:
Experience developing SQL databases, for example for production data storage and reporting, would be advantageous
Experience specifying system-related hardware, such as CAD workstations and servers, would be advantageous.
