Lab Asset Coordinator - JLL

What this job involves:

The Lab Asset Coordinator is responsible for coordinating maintenance, calibrations and repairs of Lab Equipment in a Research and Development setting. Collaborates with the Facilities Team to ensure all Lab operations affecting maintenance activities are coordinated to minimize downtime. The Lab Coordinator is responsible for delivering exceptional client experience every day through proactive communication, and high touch service within a select portfolio of properties. This client facing role provides the opportunity to combine your passion for service, brilliant people skills and enthusiasm for creating a hospitality focused workplace environment into your day to day.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Acts as the main point of contact to coordinate scheduled work, resolve service incidents and escalate instrument/equipment technical issues.
  • Coordinate and expedite the repairs of laboratory and facilities equipment for laboratory and off-site depot.
  • Actively communicate status updates to lab end users and service providers.
  • Conduct physical inventories of lab assets and compare results obtained with totals on control records and solve discrepancy problems. Prepares reports and keeps records related to the parts storage.
  • Coordinate the badging and training of vendors.
  • Escort vendors to areas of work, provide information and directions to ensure excellent coordination, and support service execution.
  • Collaborate with lab users to ensure equipment availability and minimal interruption.
  • Stay aligned with changes in experiment schedules that provide a window for execution of planned work.
  • Support CMMS data integrity and perform data corrections and updates to associated spares, new assets, and maintenance tasks as needed
  • Obtain vendor quotes and any other financial information for equipment support.
  • Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements and protocols
  • In-lab on-site daily presence required
  • Other assigned responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience working on laboratory - pharma environments
  • Experience in hospitality, facility / property management, building operations and/or knowledge of commercial real estate
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism with a passion for hospitality
  • Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills and track record of excellent internal and external customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally
  • Excellent organizational skills and process management
  • Ability to problem solve and develop process enhancements
  • Ability to work independently – strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to work with diverse teams – lead by example; respectful, cooperative, accountable
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new devices, technology, and applications
  • Adhere to the appearance policy
  • Adhere to all company and customer policies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • CMM experience with Blue Mountain

Location:

Onsite - South San Francisco.

Work Shift:

Monday to Friday - 1st Shift.

Estimated compensation for this position:

63,100.00 – 80,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
