Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Field Operations Supervisor at our Montgomery County Grinding Operations facility located in Derwood, MD. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the daily operations of the facility.This is a night shift position responsible for providing on-site supervision of the grinding operation while operating heavy equipment, including wheel loaders, excavators, and horizontal grinders, to process brush and yard waste materials. Responsibilities include overseeing production operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, maintaining operational records, and reporting production activities and site conditions to site management.
Estimated Pay Range:
$63,816.48 - $87,753.12

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus one year of supervisory experience in field operations, recycling/solid waste or construction activities and six years prior experience operating heavy equipment.
OR
Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus six years of progressively responsible experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment applicable to the hiring facility. This experience must include a lead role in field operations, recycling/solid waste or construction activities.
Note: Persons appointed to this position will be required to attend supervisory training within 6 months of appointment, or the earliest available training if training is not offered within 6 months. Complete OSHA 10 hr. General Industry Training Class.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Experience with all facility equipment including site specific, specialized machinery. The ability to read and execute plans and interpret construction specifications. demonstrate sound leadership and communication skills.
Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
