The Role

Our Port Melbourne site is the home of Vegemite, Bega Peanut Butter, Bega Simply Nuts and ZoOsh. VEGEMITE has been proudly made in Port Melbourne, Australia since 1923. As part of this iconic manufacturing site, you'll have the opportunity to partner with leaders, support our operational workforce and make a meaningful contribution to the success of some of Australia's most loved brands. You'll also enjoy free onsite parking, a staff canteen and the flexibility of a permanent part-time role (22.8 hours/3 days).

In this role, you will work alongside leaders across manufacturing and operations to provide practical people advice, support workforce initiatives and help create a positive employee experience.  This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced P&C professional looking to further develop their business partnering capability within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Collaborating with operational leaders, employees and union representatives, you’ll play a key role in maintaining positive workplace relationships while balancing business outcomes, compliance obligations and employee experience. You'll also support leadership capability, culture and engagement initiatives that enable our people and our business to thrive.

This is a flexible permanent part-time role, requiring 22.8 hours per week. You can work these hours across three full days or a mix of shorter days, depending on what works best for you. Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to provide practical people advice and coaching, across a broad range of workforce matters

• Support leaders in navigating employee and workplace matters, including interpretation and application of enterprise agreements, policies and legislation

• Manage employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, grievances, disciplinary processes and workplace disputes

• Support consultation, communication and implementation activities associated with enterprise agreements and organisational change

• Develop leadership capability through training, coaching and guidance on performance management, employee engagement and people leadership

• Drive culture, engagement, and employee experience improvements across the team

• Support end-to-end people processes including change management, workforce planning and talent initiatives.

About you

• Proven HR business partnering experience within FMCG or manufacturing, logistics or another operational environment.

• Strong employee relations and case management experience including workplace investigations, interpretation and application of enterprise agreements.

• Exposure to unionised workforces and experience building effective relationships with delegates, union representatives and operational leaders

• Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility at all levels

• Experience supporting organisational change, talent initiatives and broader people programs.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, preferred.
