Medicine | Office of Research AdministrationThe Business Operations Analyst 2 (BOA2) provides a broad range of services and support pertaining to the cross-functional management, administration, and strategic execution of research resources within the College of Medicine Office of Research (COMOR). The BOA2 conducts the daily operations across multiple research core facilities which may include budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. The BOA2 gathers and analyzes data to construct key performance indicators to monitor and improve performance and reinforce strategic decision making. Working independently, the BOA2 oversees and offers support to managers over the daily business operations of dedicated research earnings operations (service centers/core facilities).
The BOA2 communicates and implements short and long-range college and unit objectives, serving as the primary resource and subject matter expert on business processes, rate-setting support, billing, regulatory compliance, and policy requirements for assigned scientific leaders, department administrators, and support staff. This role ensures the long-term operational viability of multiple cores by aligning physical, and strategic operational resources with the strategic goals of COMOR.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Additional Education Desired
Direct knowledge of University business/financial policies and OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) costing principles. Specifically, regarding compliance, rate-setting, unallowable costs, and service center/recharge operations.
