Job Description:
Under general supervision, the Precision Technician II performs and documents technical activities related to testing, layout, quality control, fabrication, modification, and assembly of mechanical equipment and components. This role supports electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical projects across manufacturing, maintenance, quality, testing, engineering, and development functions. Responsibilities include constructing, inspecting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, and maintaining equipment, devices, components, and systems.
Work Schedule: Diurno 4 x 3 Domingo - Miercoles 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and operate manual machines including mills, lathes, hones, and other machine shop equipment.
Set up and operate CNC equipment including mills, lathes, and EDM machines.
Provide tooling and material quotations for shop needs.
Ensure all shop operations align with internal quality and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Assist in process and tooling development.
Support the creation of basic drawings for tools and fixtures.

Supervision: Operates under general direction and works independently within departmental guidelines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma required; technical degree preferred OR 2–3 years of relevant experience.
CNC operation and programming certification.
Experience using manual machines for prototyping and production.
Experience machining stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and plastics.
3D printing experience (preferred).
Basic CAD knowledge (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Proficiency with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, pin gauges).
Detail-oriented, able to work independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to perform basic math and limited trigonometry.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to use test and measurement equipment.
Ability to read technical documentation.
Ability to learn and apply GMP and regulatory requirements.
Intermediate PC skills (email, database, Word, Excel, graphics).
Ability to write reports and communicate effectively.
Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs.
MANUAL DEXTERITY
Sufficient manual dexterity to reach and handle tools, equipment, and components.
VISION REQUIREMENTS
Ability to adjust focus to bring objects into sharp detail.
TRAVEL
Not required.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work performed in a well‑lighted, climate‑controlled environment with moderate noise.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May require lifting or carrying materials; moderate physical activity typical of technical tasks.
