The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $92,700 - $121,700. The salary offered will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications.
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for an automotive enthusiast to support our Sales department in the Prairie Zone. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Zone Sales Manager. The selected candidate will partner with Dealers within an assigned territory to meet Toyota sales targets and increase brand image. In addition, the successful candidate will act as the face of the Toyota brand to the Dealer body.

What You’ll be Doing:
Provides leadership and consultation to Dealers in the following areas:
Develop customer centric solutions for Dealers in support of New Vehicle Sales, Toyota Certified Used Vehicles (TCUV) and Extra Care Protection (ECP) target achievement
Identify gaps in Dealer sales and tracking processes and provide advice and support for improvement
Take a lead role in the Annual Dealership Review and Objective (ADRO) setting process
Provide guidance to Dealers concerning monthly vehicle allocation and internal inventory management
Proactively supports Dealers by:
Present Dealers with sales opportunities within assigned Dealer Market Area (DMA) through analysis of market share, pump-in/out, sales efficiency and competitive activity
Provide valuable insight, best practices and direction in the development of sales/marketing initiatives to capitalize on identified opportunities
Ensure Dealers are on pace to achieve monthly sales targets by collecting accurate estimates throughout the month
Conduct ongoing Dealer performance and accountability meetings through regular Dealership visits
Develop recommendations and actions plans in collaboration with Dealership management utilizing the Dealer Consultation Process
Plan and support the execution of various retail projects and processes as part of the Dealership team
Support in the procurement of high priority (sold order, special edition, etc.) units through monthly supplemental allocation process
Manage and support on issues related to Dealer Fleet; including assisting with soliciting new business, maintaining fleet relationships and vehicle order management
Identify training opportunities and provide support through Toyota University and in-Dealer training
Responsible for recognizing broader issues and bringing them to the attention of the Zone Sales Manager
Supports TCI by:
Influence and persuade Dealers without direct authority to comply with TCI Corporate objectives whose benefit may not be immediately apparent. These objectives may involve sales targets, sales programs, sales processes and activities to enhance the Toyota brand
Prepare detailed Dealer contact reports outlining Dealer performance KPI’S and actionable items relevant to the Dealers business and TCI Dealer standards, policies and procedures
Support future Business Innovations initiatives by acting as a Change Agent in the Dealership
Proactive sale of supplemental vehicle supply to Dealerships
Work cross functionally with the sales team, other depts. within the Zone and TCI Head Office
Provide timely market data/surveys, industry feedback and market performance analysis
What You’ll Bring:
College diploma and/or university degree in Business or Automotive marketing
Minimum of 5 years automotive experience.
Experience in a combination of the following areas: Product Planning, Sales & Inventory Planning, Dealer Development, Pre-Owned, National Sales and Marketing.
Prior field experience or exposure to Dealership sales operations would be an asset.
Strong product knowledge is preferred.
Strong leadership, relationship-building and negotiation abilities to balance both the needs of Dealers and TCI Corporate objectives.
Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to be tenacious to continuously develop customer centric solutions for Dealers even in the face of adversity.
Ability to thrive in a high stress, challenging environment.
Ability to handle opposition in a professional manner while still maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders.
Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
Bilingual (French) language skills would be an asset
Demonstrated understanding of PDCA principles.
Proven ability to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies
General computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to work extended hours and travel
Must hold a class 5 driver’s license
