How you can help shape the future: 

As Castrol DACH Finance Advisor, you will act as a trusted finance partner for the Castrol business across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You will provide clear financial insights, support commercial decision-making and help drive sustainable, profitable growth across the DACH region. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will translate financial performance into actionable recommendations and contribute to sound business planning, governance and performance management. 

Your new area of responsibility - challenging and future-oriented 

  • Act as a finance business partner for the Castrol DACH organisation, providing financial guidance, analysis and decision support to commercial and functional stakeholders. 

  • Support planning, forecasting and performance management processes, ensuring high-quality financial input and transparent business assumptions. 

  • Analyse financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and translate insights into clear recommendations for business leaders. 

  • Prepare and present meaningful management information, financial reports and business reviews for relevant stakeholders. 

  • Support commercial initiatives, pricing discussions, investment decisions and business cases with robust financial analysis. 

  • Monitor profitability, cost development and key financial KPIs across the DACH business. 

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, finance and other internal teams to ensure aligned decision-making and strong financial governance. 

  • Contribute to month-end, quarter-end and year-end activities as required, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery. 

  • Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, reporting quality and business partnering effectiveness. 

  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, financial controls, the Code of Conduct and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. 

 

Your qualification profile - profound and passionate 

  • University degree in finance, business administration, economics, accounting or a comparable field. 

  • Relevant professional experience in finance, controlling, business partnering, FP&A or a similar commercial finance role. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into practical business insights. 

  • Good understanding of financial planning, forecasting, reporting and performance management. 

  • Strong business acumen and ability to challenge assumptions constructively while building trusted stakeholder relationships. 

  • Confident communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain financial topics clearly to non-finance stakeholders. 

  • Structured, proactive and solution-oriented working style with strong attention to detail. 

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP, Power BI or similar reporting tools would be an advantage. 

  • Fluency in English and German; additional DACH language skills are a plus.
