What you’ll be doing...

We are seeking a Senior Manager in Cyber Security to drive high-impact data investigations and operational threat mitigation. Building on core threat analysis and project management capabilities, this role requires hands-on technical ability in database querying and log analysis. You will monitor data and perform deep-dive investigations into wireline and wireless accounts and systems. You will handle highly sensitive data, address urgent investigations, and translate technical insights into clear executive briefings and security solutions.  This position will require some scheduled and unscheduled after hours, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Deep-Dive Investigation & Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root-cause investigations into operational failures, security events, and complex fraud schemes involving wireline/wireless architectures.
• Account Support & Communication: Partner closely with the Executive Relations Team to provide security support for sensitive account requests and  manage urgent, high-visibility escalations. Provide oversight of account lock removal and account protections including SIM lock and port freeze.
• Technical Threat Hunting & Log Analysis: Leverage Splunk and enterprise tools to analyze log data, build custom searches, track advanced threat patterns, and detect subtle system anomalies.
• Database Querying & Analysis: Write, optimize, and execute SQL queries across platforms such as SQL Server, Teradata, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to extract and synthesize raw data.
• Data & Pattern Analysis: Review daily security events to identify suspicious internal or external threat actor behavior. Analyze large sets of operational and sensitive data to spot trends, establish baselines, and detect subtle outliers or emerging threats.
• Project & Work Stream Management: Simultaneously manage multiple complex projects and investigative work streams, ensuring timely deliverables and operational compliance.
• Process & System Adaptation: Continually adapt to rapid changes in systems, operational processes, data structures, and the broader threat landscape including identifying ways to implement AI into daily operations.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries in production environments.
• Solid understanding of wireless and wireline systems, operational workflows, and account security.
• Proven experience in fraud detection, security, risk management, or threat operations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze unstructured operational data, recognize patterns, and isolate system outliers.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage competing priorities, and build trust across diverse teams.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• SIEM / Log Analytics Experience: Proficiency in Splunk for data extraction, log monitoring, and anomaly detection.
• Project Leadership: Strong background in managing multiple technical work streams, project deadlines, and cross-functional technical relationships.
• Analytical & Communication Mastery: Proven track record of turning complex technical findings into clear root-cause analyses and executive-level presentations.
• Communication & Executive Presence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience writing formal executive summaries under tight deadlines.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $98,500.00 - $188,000.00.
