About the Role

The Utility Driver is responsible for safely transporting prepared foods and bakery products between New Pioneer’s production facility and retail locations while supporting daily production operations. This role combines delivery, operational support, merchandising, and occasional food preparation to help ensure products are delivered safely, presented well, and available when our shoppers need them. 

Success in this role requires reliability, organization, flexibility, and a commitment to quality in every part of the workday. 

Requirements

What You Will Do

• Transport prepared foods, bakery products, catering orders, and supplies between the production facility and retail locations 
• Load, unload, inspect, and organize products to ensure timely and accurate deliveries 
• Support food preparation, packaging, labeling, and staging activities as production needs require 
• Assist with merchandising, stocking, and product rotation within retail locations 
• Maintain delivery vehicles, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition 
• Communicate effectively with production and store teams to ensure smooth daily operations 
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and transportation standards 
• Represent New Pioneer with professionalism while interacting with staff, vendors, and community partners

• Deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time 
• Products arrive in excellent condition and are ready for merchandising and sale 
• Production teams receive dependable operational support that helps maintain an efficient workflow 
• Shoppers consistently experience fresh, high quality products that are available when expected 
• Food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are maintained throughout each shift 
• Team members across production and retail view this role as a reliable partner who contributes to overall operational success 

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in delivery, grocery, food service, warehouse, logistics, or production environments is preferred 
• Valid Iowa driver's license with a driving record that meets New Pioneer insurance requirements 
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple teams 
• Commitment to cooperative values and community centered work
