Team Overview

The Public Sector Program Manager supports sales operations and public sector business activities by coordinating onboarding, documentation, reporting, compliance support, and operational guidance. The role will work closely with sales teams, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to ensure requests are handled accurately, efficiently, and with a strong sense of urgency. The role reports to the Sr Director of Strategic Operations. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

• Support customer and partner onboarding activities, including membership, credentialing, contract documentation, vendor form completion, and operational guidance for sales teams.
• Pull reports, gather data on meaningful business metrics, support data accuracy, and track information for internal stakeholders.
• Provide custom invoice delivery and monitor compliance requirements for public sector customers.
• Coordinate external meetings, special events, travel booking, and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives focused on implementing government compliance requirements.
• Manage work with urgency, accuracy, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

• 3-5 years of experience supporting public sector contracting, government customer onboarding, or government sales operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, local, municipal, education, and third-party government contract workflows, including RFP/RFQ support, purchase orders, statements of work, master agreements, participating addenda, contract amendments, and renewals.
• Experience supporting contract documentation, representations and certifications, vendor forms, customer credentialing, public sector questionnaires, and related compliance documentation.
• Ability to identify and route government contract requirements that may require Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Pricing, Finance, Billing, or senior leadership review, including non-standard terms, audit rights, security requirements, preferential pricing, liquidated damages, penalties, or other elevated approval triggers.
• Familiarity with public sector compliance concepts such as government procurement rules, flow-down requirements, audit rights, records retention, data security obligations, background check requirements, cybersecurity frameworks, and customer-specific invoicing requirements.
• Ability to support custom invoice delivery, customer billing coordination, and public sector payment requirements, including portal-based invoicing and customer-specific billing instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review documents for completeness, consistency, required approvals, signatures, pricing support, and operational readiness.
• Eligibility for U.S. Security Clearance.

Required Technical Skills

• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools to track opportunities, contract status, onboarding milestones, enablement requests, customer documentation, and reporting metrics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat for document management, reporting, form completion, and stakeholder communication.

Pay Scale Information:

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $72,300.00 - $105,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
