Financial Analyst - Reporting & Analytics

What will you work on?
As a Financial Analyst – Reporting & Analytics, you will play an important role in driving financial visibility and operational value-add insights for our North America market and the Consolidated Group. Embedded within our Finance Shared Services function, you will own the compilation of financial data and deliver high-impact insights, with a focus on the Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle and working capital management. This position offers visibility into our global business operations, partnering closely with Global OTC teams, Ops Finance, Group Accounting, and FP&A to influence decision-making and support business growth.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge, advanced analytics capabilities, and experience with large, public companies. This is an ideal role for those looking to make the transition from an accounting firm to the corporate world.

How will you create impact?

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare recurring management reports, dashboards, and analytics for senior leadership and key stakeholders
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of financial data across reporting outputs
• Support public company reporting requirements, including monthly/quarterly close, variance analysis, and audit support
• Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX and company policies

Analytics & Insights

• Accumulate and prepare financial analysis to provide actionable insights into performance, trends, risks, and opportunities
• Translate complex financial data into clear, concise narratives for non-finance stakeholders
• Explore continuous improvement in reporting tools, data visualization, and automation (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, ERP reporting tools)

• Act as a key liaison between Shared Services, Corporate Finance, FP&A, IT, and business partners

What are your skills and experience?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
• Accounting designation
• 2-3 years of experience in finance, reporting, or analytics, preferably in a large public company or an accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, management reporting, and internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (ERP, consolidation, and reporting tools)
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $ 50,900 to $67,800 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
