Job Description Summary

The Product Launch Manager will lead manufacturing launch readiness and industrialization activities for products within Wind Manufacturing. This role is responsible for driving manufacturing input into product development, coordinating pilot and prototype builds, defining process validation strategy, and ensuring successful launch, transfer, ramp-up, and capability readiness across plants.

Job Description

This leader will act as the focal point for manufacturing readiness from development through launch and ramp-up for blade and nacelle programs. The role will drive DFM/DFA, manufacturability reviews, launch planning, pilot build coordination, process validation, and cross-functional readiness to support on-time, on-budget launches with robust process capability.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead product launch and industrialization activities for manufacturing programs
• Lead manufacturing input into product development and drive DFM / DFA improvements
• Build launch readiness plans and manage cross-functional execution to key milestones
• Coordinate pilot builds, prototype builds, and manufacturing learning cycles
• Define process validation strategy and lead manufacturability review / sign-off
• Support product transfers, plant readiness, ramp-up, and capacity expansion
• Partner with Product Engineering, AME, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure launch risks are identified and mitigated
• Drive readiness for tooling, equipment, work instructions, training, PFMEA, control plans, and quality gates
• Track launch timing, cost, capability, and risk; escalate issues and lead recovery actions as needed
• Build and maintain skill matrix database and support training facilitation tied to COE execution
• Capture and deploy lessons learned and standard launch methods across programs and plants
• Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, execution discipline, and cross-functional collaboration

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work 1st Shift (8am-4pm)
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 10 years experience in NPI, industrialization, product launch, manufacturing engineering, or operations support in a complex industrial environment
• Experience with pilot builds, launch readiness, process validation, production ramp-up, and cross-functional program execution
• Experience leading technical teams and cross-functional programs
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills

Desired Characteristics

• Experience in blade manufacturing, nacelle manufacturing, or complex industrial product launches
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFA, PFMEA, control plans, validation, and manufacturing readiness reviews
• Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to influence across functions and standardize launch practices across multiple sites
• Strong focus on execution, milestones, and measurable business outcomes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $144,000.00 and $240,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
