Description

About NAVER U.Hub
NAVER U.Hub is the U.S. subsidiary of NAVER, a global internet technology company based in Los Angeles with offices in Seattle and Redwood City. Our teams across NAVER Search US, BAND, ThingsBook, and NAVER Ventures collaborate to advance AI, social media, and investment initiatives that build smarter and more connected experiences for global users.

About The Role
As BAND is widely used by school districts, you'll help schools adopt BAND smoothly and safely by supporting the intake process for district data privacy requests, guiding administrators through our school portal after agreements are in place, and maintaining clear communication with them about safe usage.

You'll also help us learn and grow in new markets by researching franchise and community-group segments, recruiting participants and supporting user interviews, helping host product demos, and creating content to support these efforts.

Interns on our team work closely with product, support, and marketing, and we expect you to bring what you learn from schools and new markets back into those conversations.

Strong-performing interns may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time role on this team.

Key Responsibilities:
Education & School Compliance

  • Support intake for incoming district DPA requests, security questionnaires, and compliance inquiries — log, categorize, route, and track each one to closure
  • Prepare requests for review: summarize the ask, flag anything non-standard, hand off a clean package (review, negotiation, and signature stay with legal and your manager)
  • Help build and maintain a response library of standard answers and completed questionnaires
  • Support the onboarding of school administrators to the BAND school portal once agreements are executed
  • Coordinate a recurring email program to school admins on using BAND safely — privacy settings, admin controls, best practices for youth groups
  • Help keep education help center content and FAQs current
Customer Service & Community Moderation
  • Review app store ratings and reviews on a regular cadence. Identify what users are frustrated by and what they value, and respond directly to reviews that warrant a reply (using approved response guidelines)
  • Coordinate inquiries related to BAND for Kids account creation, including parental consent and setup questions
  • Monitor the group leader communities hosted inside BAND, answer questions, and surface recurring themes
  • Turn all of the above into a regular digest for product and support — what's breaking, what's confusing, what's working
New Market Research & Content Creation
  • Research the franchise, adult community group, and youth organization segments
  • Recruit and support user interviews; help synthesize findings into themes the team can act on
  • Support product demos for prospective partners and new-market groups
  • Produce supporting content — one-pagers, case studies, demo decks, social posts, email copy
  • Support conference and partner meeting prep, including follow-up and CRM hygiene
Skills & Qualifications:
Required
  • Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree — any major
  • Excellent written English; much of this job is clear writing to busy school administrators and to users in public, on the record
  • Genuinely organized — you'll track many open threads, and a dropped one stalls a district relationship
  • Steady, professional tone under criticism. Some of what you'll respond to is a frustrated one-star review
  • Comfortable talking to adults in professional settings over email, video, and occasionally in person
  • Self-directed; this role has structure but not a script
Preferred
  • Prior internship at a software, edtech, or B2B company
  • Fluency in written and spoken Korean
  • Any exposure to compliance, legal ops, contracts, procurement, or policy
  • Experience in a customer-facing or community management role
  • Familiarity with K-12 or youth sports environments
  • Comfort with content tools (Canva, Figma, video editing) and CRM/project tracking
Other
  • Job type: Full-time Internship (3 months, with potential extension and full-time conversion opportunities)
  • Location: El Segundo, CA (must be able to work in California)
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (In-office and remote)
  • Pay: $30/hr
  • Please note: To be eligible, applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (CPT/OPT required for F-1 international students). Sponsorship for employment visa status is unavailable.
