Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a proactive and practical Health & Safety Advisor to join our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional health, safety, and environmental guidance across our warehouse, transport, and logistics operations to ensure a safe working environment and continuous safety improvement. You will work closely with warehouse managers, supervisors, drivers, contractors, and frontline team members to identify hazards, mitigate operational risks, and champion a positive safety culture.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Drive Operational Safety & Risk Mitigation: Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and safe system reviews across warehouse, loading dock, and transport operations to implement practical corrective controls and mitigate operational risks.
Collaborate & Build Safety Culture: Partner with cross-functional operational teams, managers, drivers, and external contractors to deliver safety briefings, lead incident investigations, and promote active workforce participation in safety initiatives.
Ensure Regulatory & Organizational Compliance: Monitor and maintain full compliance with applicable national occupational health and safety legislation, local authority guidelines, and internal company standards, including ISO 45001 alignment.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in a Health & Safety Advisor or HSE Officer role within a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of operational hazard identification, risk assessment methodologies, traffic management safety, and incident investigation techniques.
Proven ability in stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, safety coaching, and writing clear technical reports.
Professional health and safety certification (such as NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH membership, or equivalent).
