Part-time (0.6 FTE), 12-month Fixed Term position until August 2027
Salary HEW Level 6 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working
About You
As a Talent Integrity & Contracts Advisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant and seamless employment outcomes across RMIT. You’ll manage the preparation and administration of employment contracts, renewals, academic promotions, honorary appointments and additional employment documentation for Executive, Academic, Professional and TAFE employees.
With a strong eye for detail and a solutions-focused approach, you’ll confidently navigate complex contract matters, interpret relevant policies and RMIT’s Enterprise Agreement, and partner with People & Culture teams, Colleges and key stakeholders to ensure documentation, approvals and processes meet compliance requirements.
You’ll also manage stakeholder relationships for Direct Appointments, support recruitment and onboarding system testing, deliver end-user training, and contribute your expertise to projects and process improvements as a Subject Matter Expert. Working across a diverse range of domestic and international appointments, including visiting academics, you’ll be a trusted source of advice on contract, compliance and policy-related matters.
To be successful in this position, you will have as a minimum:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related field, and/or relevant experience in a similar role
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the development and delivery of contemporary recruitment, selection and employee onboarding practices
Proven ability to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines with strong attention to detail
Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in a customer service environment within a large complex environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on managing customer expectations
Demonstrated ability to show initiative and creativity in solving problems
Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance, compliance and continuous improvement
Demonstrated experience in the use of a range of computer applications and the ability to quickly learn new technologies, including Microsoft Office Programs, Service Now, e-recruitment and onboarding systems including Workday (highly desirable)
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and to influence clients and stakeholders, and to build relationships with customer groups
Proven experience and understanding of Employment contractual law as well as Fixed Term legislation, and work rights / visa requirements
