The Finance Associate will coordinate and deliver finance support services for PMCO programmes funded under the USG Macro Award. The role ensures accurate recording, monitoring, and reporting of financial transactions in compliance with donor regulations, internal policies, and applicable standards, supporting informed decision-making and strong financial stewardship.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical and procedural support on finance matters to PMCO teams, ensuring compliance with USG donor rules, organizational policies, and financial regulations.
• Support the development and implementation of financial procedures, internal controls, and accounting systems aligned with USG Macro Award requirements.
• Monitor cash flow and funding availability, ensuring optimal cash management and timely disbursement of funds.
• Process payments to staff, partners, and vendors accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all supporting documentation meets audit and donor standards.
• Monitor account balances and process financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner to ensure financial integrity and avoid discrepancies.
• Analyse general ledger accounts and financial records, identifying discrepancies and supporting corrective actions.
• Compile and analyze financial data from corporate systems to produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports for internal and donor use.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure completeness of supporting documentation for all transactions in line with audit requirements.
• Coordinate with programme, supply chain, ETC and partnership teams to ensure financial processes are aligned with operational needs and timelines.
• Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders on finance-related matters to resolve discrepancies and improve financial efficiency.
• Support audit processes (internal and external), including preparation of documentation and responses to audit queries related to USG funding.
• Support capacity building of staff and partners on financial management, donor compliance, and documentation standards.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, donor regulations (USG), and financial accountability standards throughout all processes.
• Maintain readiness to support emergency or surge financial requirements related to programme delivery.
OTHER POST REQUIREMENTS
• Strong understanding of USG donor compliance requirements (e.g., allowability, allocability, and reasonableness of costs).
• Experience working in grant management environments with strict reporting timelines.
• Ability to manage multiple funding streams and prioritize competing deadlines.
Education: Completion of Bachelors degree education. A post-secondary certificate in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is desirable.
Experience: At least 6 years of experience in finance, audit and risk management, managing or supporting donor funded.
