We're seeking a dependable and safety-minded Warehouse Associate to join our Hampton team. This position plays an important role in supporting our operations by receiving, organizing, maintaining, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. Pay: Competitive hourly pay, depending on experience, qualifications, certifications, and applicable licenses.

Location: Hampton, Virginia. Local candidates are preferred.

What You'll Do

As a Warehouse Associate, you'll support daily warehouse and field operations by receiving and distributing materials, maintaining accurate inventory, organizing tools and equipment, and assisting with shipping and receiving activities to ensure crews have the supplies and equipment needed to complete projects safely and efficiently.

Essential Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, unload, and properly store incoming materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Pick, stage, and issue materials, tools, and equipment for jobs and field crews.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including preparing outgoing materials and verifying incoming deliveries.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with routine inventory counts and audits.
• Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to ensure materials and equipment are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible.
• Track the issuance and return of tools and equipment as required.
• Inspect tools and equipment for damage or maintenance needs and report issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and company vehicles.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment when properly trained and authorized.
• Assist with preparing materials and equipment for delivery to jobsites and project locations.
• Verify quantities and condition of materials received against packing slips, purchase orders, or other documentation.
• Report inventory shortages, damaged materials, and discrepancies promptly.
• Follow established procedures for handling, storing, and distributing materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and job-specific work instructions.
• Work effectively as part of a team to support warehouse, operations, and field personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

• One (1) to two (2) years of warehouse, shipping and receiving, inventory, material handling, or related experience.
• Ability to safely operate basic warehouse and material-handling equipment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools as required.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately maintain inventory and warehouse records.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong commitment to safety, dependability, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a marine, shipyard, construction, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment.
• Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience.
• Experience with inventory management or warehouse tracking systems.
• Current TWIC Credential or the ability to obtain one if required for assigned work.
• Familiarity with industrial tools, equipment, materials, and supplies.

Physical Requirements

This position requires work in warehouse and industrial environments. Candidates must be able to:

• Lift up to 70 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull for extended periods.
• Safely load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Work in warehouse areas and outdoor environments as required.
• Climb ladders and access storage areas as needed.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform physically demanding work for extended periods in varying weather and environmental conditions.

Additional Requirements

• Must meet all applicable federal and state employment requirements.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation.
• Employment is contingent upon successfully completing all required pre-employment screenings, including drug screening (including marijuana), employment eligibility verification, and background screening where permitted by law.
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and occasional night shifts based on project requirements. Overtime opportunities may be available but are not guaranteed.
