Manager, Athletic Training Services

Remote Field Role | Flexible Schedule

 

Are you an experienced Athletic Trainer who is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and advancing athletic healthcare services? Baptist Health is seeking a Manager, Athletic Training Services to lead a team of Athletic Trainers serving partner schools, athletic organizations, and community events. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on athlete health and safety while developing and supporting a growing team of professionals.

 

 

Position Summary

The Manager of Athletic Training Services oversees Staff Athletic Trainers who provide athletic training services at partner institutions and contracted events. This role ensures clinical compliance, promotes best practices in patient care, supports athlete safety initiatives, and fosters strong community relationships.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate Staff Athletic Trainers while fostering professional growth and development.
  • Oversee emergency action plans and safety protocols for contracted schools, venues, and athletic events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, physical therapy partners, EMS agencies, and community organizations.
  • Manage staffing needs, scheduling, and utilization of staff and PRN Athletic Trainers.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard Athletic Trainers while ensuring licensure and certification compliance.
  • Conduct regular site visits and provide ongoing support and mentorship to assigned staff.
  • Monitor documentation standards, patient care quality, and customer service excellence.
  • Manage department resources, expenses, supplies, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure effective program operations and strategic growth.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required Licensure & Certifications

  • Current Athletic Trainer license in the State of Alabama in good standing.
  • Current ARC CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider, or equivalent certification required by the Alabama Board of Athletic Trainers.

 

Experience

  • Experience in athletic training or a related field.
  • Leadership, mentoring, and team management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
