Position Summary 

The Product Data Analyst supports Tyson’s enterprise product data and digital commerce ecosystem, helping ensure products are accurately represented, discoverable, and activated across retail, foodservice, marketplace, and emerging digital channels. 

This role supports product data quality, catalog health, syndication, platform operations, and governance initiatives that enable Tyson product information to scale efficiently across the business. The analyst will work across Salsify, GDSN, retailer platforms, and internal systems to maintain data accuracy, identify content and attribute gaps, monitor channel readiness, and support product content distribution to customers and partners. 

This role serves as a strategic partner to Marketing, Sales, and Customer teams by enabling the accurate activation and distribution of product content across Tyson’s digital commerce ecosystem. The position helps ensure product information, assets, and content are properly structured, governed, and activated to meet customer, retailer, and channel requirements. 

The role also supports workflow optimization, process automation, and adoption of data governance practices that improve the speed, consistency, and quality of product information across Tyson’s product portfolio.

The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to help scale a business-critical capability that supports Tyson’s product representation, discoverability, and activation across hundreds of customers and channels. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Product Data Quality & Governance 

  • Monitor product data completeness, accuracy, and consistency across systems 

  • Identify product content and attribute gaps against retailer, distributor, and channel requirements 

  • Support taxonomy, attribute governance, data standards, and validation processes 

  • Assist in catalog audits, data quality assessments, and remediation efforts 

  • Partner with stakeholders to improve data quality at the source 

Syndication & Channel Activation 

  • Support syndication and activation across GDSN, retail, foodservice, marketplace, and digital commerce channels 

  • Monitor publishing activity and resolve data quality or syndication issues 

  • Assist with new customer, retailer, and distributor onboarding 

  • Support product launches, assortment updates, and ongoing catalog maintenance 

  • Ensure content aligns with customer-specific requirements and channel standards 

Platform Operations & Workflow Management 

  • Support administration and maintenance of the Salsify platform 

  • Execute imports, exports, bulk updates, and workflow activities 

  • Monitor platform health, publishing status, and system performance 

  • Support configuration and continuous improvement of workflows, validations, and automation processes 

  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve scalability 

Product Content & Digital Shelf Support 

  • Serve as the primary data and platform partner for Marketing content activation initiatives 

  • Support content syndication, retailer readiness, and channel execution across digital commerce platforms 

  • Maintain product-to-asset relationships and content governance within Salsify 

  • Identify and resolve data, taxonomy, and channel compliance issues impacting content performance 

  • Assist with digital shelf optimization by ensuring product data supports discoverability, search, and customer experience 

Reporting & Analytics 

  • Develop and maintain catalog health, data quality, and operational reporting 

  • Support KPI tracking for completeness, compliance, readiness, and syndication performance 

  • Monitor trends and identify opportunities for operational improvement 

  • Assist with dashboard development and business reporting 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Customer Teams, Master Data, Regulatory, Packaging, and IT teams 

  • Support business user adoption of platform capabilities and governance standards 

  • Participate in process improvement and continuous optimization initiatives 

  • Document workflows, business processes, and operational procedures 

 

Qualifications 

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field 

  • 1 year of relevant experience in data management, eCommerce, digital commerce, marketing operations, analytics, retail operations, or related fields 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills 

  • Excellent attention to detail 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills 

Preferred 

  • Experience with product information management (PIM/PXM) platforms 

  • Experience with Salsify, Syndigo, Akeneo, inRiver, or similar platforms 

  • Familiarity with GDSN, GS1 standards, syndication, or product content management 

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other reporting tools 

  • Understanding of eCommerce, digital shelf, retailer content requirements, or product data governance 

  • Experience working with large datasets and data quality processes
