Description
Your area of responsibility
You will be responsible for running full-cycle, in-house recruitment for the firm: managing inbound applications and agencies, while also carrying out direct sourcing and headhunting yourself.
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following key responsibilities:
Full-cycle recruitment
- Own the end-to-end hiring process across the firm's investment team, sales and its corporate and support functions, from intake briefing to signed offer.
- Partner with hiring managers on role scoping, competency frameworks, interview structure and calibration, pushing back constructively where a brief is unrealistic.
- Coordinate the assessment process with hiring managers across technical, functional and cultural criteria, and manage the candidate experience throughout.
- Structure conversations and negotiations with candidates on behalf of hiring managers, from initial approach through to offer and close.
- Lead direct sourcing and headhunting through LinkedIn as your primary channel: building and refining Boolean and X-Ray searches and proactively approaching passive candidates who are not on the market.
- Build and maintain live market maps in your coverage areas so you always know who exists, where they sit, and what it would take to move them.
- Maintain long-term talent pipelines for roles we know are coming, so that searches start from a warm list of pre-qualified candidates rather than a blank page.
- Conduct ongoing market research and help shape where and how we should be looking for each role you cover.
- Analyse recruitment KPIs and report on pipeline health, conversion, time-to-hire and source of hire, keeping ATS data accurate throughout.
- Develop periodic reports for leadership on hiring progress across active searches.
- Strengthen our presence in the market through employer-brand content, referral programmes and a consistently excellent candidate experience.
- Ensure compliance with employment law, GDPR and our internal hiring standards across all sourcing and selection activity.
Your skills and experience
- At least five years of recruitment experience, gained in an in-house team, in executive search, or in a specialist agency.
- Demonstrable experience recruiting into private equity or an adjacent alternative-assets environment.
- A direct-sourcing and headhunting background, with a track record of placing candidates you found yourself.
- Advanced, hands-on command of LinkedIn, including project management, Boolean and X-Ray search and pipeline reporting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think conceptually about where and how to find hard-to-reach candidates.
- Self-motivated, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the confidence to hold your own with partners and senior hiring managers.
- Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote setting: you organise your own week, communicate proactively and deliver without supervision.
- A rigorous approach to confidentiality and sound judgement when handling sensitive candidate and firm information.
- The existing right to work in the United Kingdom.
What we offer
- Competitive remuneration package.
- A dynamic role at a growing private equity firm, with ownership of searches that matter and direct access to decision-makers.
- Numerous development opportunities within an expanding firm and a highly motivated team.
- Attractive and flexible working conditions: fully remote within the UK, on an 80% (four-day week) basis, with the trust to manage your own diary.
