Role Highlights: Reporting to the GM Finance; full APAC divisional scope; build and lead the FP&A team; direct influence on executive and Board decision-making
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the GM Finance, this FP&A Manager will lead and own the group financial planning and analysis function for the Asia Pacific division, working at a divisional level across multiple lines of business. The role carries full responsibility for the annual budget and strategic planning processes, the monthly forecasting cycle, and the preparation of the monthly financial results reporting suite. It also acts as the conduit between the APAC business, the Group FP&A team and the US parent company, ensuring Group planning and reporting requirements are met on a timely basis.
On a day-to-day basis, this FP&A Manager will build and lead a high-performing FP&A team, beginning with one direct report and scope to grow the function as the division expands. You will deliver insightful analysis and commentary on performance, working capital, CAPEX and cashflow, partner closely with commercial finance teams and business leaders across the region, and present results to executive management and the Board. Alongside the reporting cycle, there is a clear mandate to standardise and automate - improving the quality, consistency and timeliness of everything the function produces.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting and long-range forecast process, encompassing identification of key initiatives and investment requirements
- Lead the monthly forecasting process across the division, ensuring alignment across all business units
- Develop and implement standardised forecasting, planning and analysis templates and methodologies aligned to Group requirements
- Lead and oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial reports for executive management and the Board
- Provide insightful analysis and commentary on performance, working capital, CAPEX, cashflow and other key financial measures
- Analyse financial results, identify trends and provide actionable insights to divisional and regional leadership
- Serve as the conduit between the APAC business, the Group FP&A team and the US parent company
- Enhance and streamline the forecasting process using sophisticated data and analytics techniques to drive continual improvement in forecast accuracy
- Proactively identify and execute financial reporting process improvement and automation opportunities
- Undertake competitor financial and operational benchmarking and ad-hoc financial analysis
- Co-ordinate and report on quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for key initiatives across the division
- Build, mentor and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment
Candidate Profile
You are a CPA or CA qualified finance professional with a minimum of 6 to 8 years in financial planning and analysis, gained within a multinational organisation with an Asia Pacific footprint. You are equally comfortable at business unit and divisional level, and you bring strong business, finance and commercial acumen alongside the technical depth to synthesise and interpret complex data quickly.
Your communication and influencing skills are exceptional - you engage confidently with stakeholders at every level, present results to executive audiences and translate financial detail for non-financial teams. You have proven leadership capability and a track record of building and developing high-performing teams, and you operate effectively to tight timelines in a fast-paced environment of competing priorities. Technically, experience with TM1 and D365 is preferred and advanced Excel is essential.
