Position Overview
The Woodshop Production Associate plays a key role in producing custom wood cornice boards by measuring, cutting, assembling, and inspecting components to meet customer specifications. This hands-on manufacturing position is ideal for someone with woodworking or carpentry experience who enjoys working with tools, values quality craftsmanship, and follows safe work practices.
What you'll do
- Read work orders and follow measurements and specifications to build custom wood products.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood components accurately.
- Operate woodworking tools and equipment, including table saws, radial arm saws, jigsaws, belt sanders, and staplers.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Sand and prepare wood components for the next stage of production.
- Inspect finished products for accurate measurements, quality, and workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety and quality procedures.
- Work with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Assist with other woodshop and production activities as needed.
Who you are
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, cabinet making, construction, manufacturing, or a related hands-on environment preferred.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Comfortable working with wood and production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Training may be provided for candidates with strong hands-on, mechanical, construction, or production experience.
