Job Description:
Job Purpose
To ensure the accurate and timely processing of shipments through customs by preparing documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and complying with all regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities
•Prepare and submit customs entries for import shipments in line with local regulations.
•Classify goods using relevant tariff systems (e.g., HS codes) or customer instructions on file.
•Review shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.) for accuracy for both clearance or Post entry instances.
•Manage post-clearance queries, amendments, and audits.
•Partake in billing process and corrections for duties, taxes, and other applicable charges for DSL discrepancies and Post Entry Corrections
•Liaise with customs authorities, clients, carriers, and internal teams to resolve queries.
•Monitor shipment status and ensure timely process completion.
•Provide excellent customer service and updates to customers/customs.
•Ad hoc task relating to other Brokerage activities within department and General Admin
