The Business Systems & Integration Analyst will be a key member of the IT team advancing that vision by supporting and improving ERP and EDI applications, developing integrations, and partnering with business teams to solve operational challenges.

This position serves as a technical liaison among business units, customers, trading partners, and IT, coordinating system implementations, integrations, upgrades, and process-improvement initiatives. The role applies SQL, EDI development tools, APIs, automation, and approved AI-assisted technologies to improve data exchange, system capabilities, and operational efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Department Objectives:

• Manage IT project development from initiation to closure.
• Work with project team(s) to outline scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, and timing.
• Provide programming and report writing (SQL Server database) support.
• Develop productivity tools and processes that will increase the usability and effectiveness of the company’s ERP applications.

• Evaluate and recommend technologies that improve operational efficiency, system capabilities, data accuracy, security, and customer or trading-partner service.
• Monitor and report on transaction volumes, processing exceptions, recurring errors, system performance, and operational trends.
• Define, design, deploy, and support ERP enhancements, documentation, and training resources that improve system adoption, usability, and business value.
• Coordinate application configuration, testing, user acceptance, deployment, training, and post-implementation support.
• Partner with business units to analyze requirements, workflows, system capabilities, data inputs and outputs, and operational constraints; recommend and implement improvements to ERP applications, integrations, reports, and business processes.
• Assist in resolution of work problems related to flow charts, project specifications, or system debugging. Upgrade systems and correct errors to maintain system.
• Manage assigned IT projects from initiation through closure, including scope, objectives, deliverables, resources, schedules, risks, status reporting, and time and cost estimates.
• Support and monitor EDI transactions and integrations with customers, suppliers, logistics providers, and other trading partners.
• Analyze, develop, test, implement, and maintain ANSI X12 maps and workflows, including transaction sets such as 850, 855, 856, 875, 880, and 810.
• Troubleshoot EDI mapping, translation, validation, acknowledgment, communication, and integration errors through resolution.
• Coordinate trading-partner onboarding, testing, certification, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Translate implementation guides and trading-partner requirements into EDI mappings, ERP requirements, cross-references, APIs, and secure data-transfer solutions, including SFTP and AS2.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including SOPs, workflow diagrams, EDI maps, specifications, cross-reference tables, support materials, and trading-partner documentation.
• Use approved AI-assisted tools to analyze requirements, develop and review SQL or code, create reports and documentation, troubleshoot issues, and accelerate solution delivery.
• Identify and implement appropriate AI, automation, API, scripting, and low-code solutions that improve ERP, EDI, reporting, and business processes.
• Review and validate AI-assisted outputs for accuracy, security, privacy, reliability, maintainability, and compliance with company policies.Other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:                                                                                           

Education/Certifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent field of study

Preferred Certifications:

• Relevant certification in EDI/B2B integration, MuleSoft, Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, data analytics, AI, SQL Server, ERP, project management, or business analysis.

Experience:

• Minimum three years of experience supporting ERP systems, databases, integrations, or related business applications; five years of ERP/MRP experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Hands-on experience developing, testing, implementing, or supporting EDI integrations, including ANSI X12 transaction sets, mapping, acknowledgments, implementation guides, and trading-partner onboarding.
• Experience with EDI translation or B2B integration platforms; MuleSoft Partner Manager experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL development, reporting, APIs, system integration, business analytics, and ERP-related accounting or inventory processes.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for software development, SQL, analysis, documentation, automation, troubleshooting, or business-process improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to review and responsibly apply AI-assisted outputs in business or production environments.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations and multiple ERP applications preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:                                                                                           

• Works in an office environment. Must be able to work sitting and use computer for an extended period of time.
• Involves exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and/or noise when entering production areas for short periods of time.
• Light physical effort.  Requires standing, sitting, walking, talking, seeing, hearing, fine dexterity, and occasional carrying objects up to 20 pounds for no more than fifteen feet.
