Description

On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Drafting & Quantity Surveying Manager.

This senior role combines technical MEP design coordination with commercial project management responsibilities. The successful candidate will oversee the preparation of MEP drawings and technical documentation, manage project costs from tender to final account, and lead a team of draughtspersons and quantity surveyors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quantity surveying activities including cost planning, tendering, procurement, variations, cost control, and final accounts.
  • Oversee the production and coordination of MEP drawings, schematics, technical submittals, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Manage document control processes and coordinate technical input across project stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement drafting standards, methodologies, and BIM-related workflows.
  • Provide commercial and technical support to project and management teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the drafting and QS team while managing departmental resources and performance.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the construction or MEP sector, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit MEP experience is considered an asset.
  • Proven experience in cost management, procurement, tendering, contract administration, and project delivery.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience within an MEP contracting environment.
  • Chartered status or progress towards professional accreditation.
  • Familiarity with Maltese construction regulations and BIM processes.
