Atera is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Controller to join our dynamic finance team.This is a hands-on, high-impact role with significant responsibility over day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of key processes, contribute to exciting ongoing projects, and help ensure compliance with accounting standards—all while helping us scale efficiently.This position works closely with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Legal, and Operations to ensure accurate reporting and effective collaboration across departments.Responsibilities:Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in compliance with U.S. GAAPCoordinate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual auditsOversee daily accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliationsSupport implementation of accounting systems, automation tools, and internal controlsEnsure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and support ongoing complianceTake ownership of accounting processes and continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracyLeverage AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, enhance reporting, and improve decision-makingCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across reporting and complianceAssist with special projects, financial analysis, and other ad hoc initiatives
