Location: Libya – Onsite
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Working Schedule: 5 Days per Week

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Geoscientist / Landmark DSG Specialist for a highly specialised 12-month onsite assignment in Libya.
The successful candidate will provide specialist technical expertise in the use and application of the Landmark DSG software solution within an oil & gas project environment.
The role requires a professional with extensive, hands-on and expert-level experience using Landmark DSG, together with a strong understanding of geoscience data, workflows and technical applications.
The successful candidate will act as a technical specialist supporting the effective use of Landmark DSG, including data management, workflow development, troubleshooting, technical support and user assistance. Experience supporting Pipeline & Process Services (PPS) projects or comparable technical oil & gas service environments will be highly advantageous.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Landmark DSG / Software Expertise
- Act as the technical subject-matter expert for Landmark DSG within the project team.
- Provide specialist technical support relating to the configuration, application and utilisation of Landmark DSG.
- Develop, maintain and optimise DSG workflows according to project requirements.
- Provide troubleshooting and resolution of software, workflow and data-related issues.
- Support users in the effective application of Landmark DSG.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project personnel.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, data management and software utilisation.
- Assist with the implementation and optimisation of project-specific DSG workflows.
- Provide technical support for software-related issues encountered during project execution.
Geoscience & Subsurface Data
- Work with geological, geophysical and other subsurface datasets as required.
- Support the organisation, integration and management of geoscience data within the Landmark environment.
- Perform data validation and quality-control activities.
- Assist with data preparation, analysis and interpretation.
- Support the integration of relevant geological, geophysical, well and interpretation data.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency and accessibility for project users.
- Assist with the resolution of data-quality and data-management issues.
Project / PPS Support
- Provide specialist technical support within an oil & gas Pipeline & Process Services (PPS) project environment.
- Understand project requirements and translate these into appropriate DSG workflows and technical solutions.
- Work closely with technical, operational and project teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Support project personnel with the use of Landmark DSG and associated geoscience workflows.
- Ensure technical deliverables meet project requirements and applicable standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project workflows and technical processes.
Technical Support & User Assistance
- Provide day-to-day technical assistance to Landmark DSG users.
- Investigate and resolve technical problems.
- Support user onboarding and knowledge transfer.
- Provide guidance on appropriate workflows and software functionality.
- Develop user documentation, workflow guidance and technical procedures where required.
- Conduct technical training or demonstrations where necessary.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of DSG configurations, workflows and technical activities.
- Prepare technical reports, data summaries and project documentation.
- Document technical issues, solutions and workflow improvements.
- Provide regular progress updates to project management.
- Maintain appropriate technical and project documentation throughout the assignment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Geoscience, Geology, Geophysics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years' relevant professional experience within the oil & gas / energy industry.
- Expert-level, hands-on experience with Landmark DSG.
- Demonstrable experience working with geological, geophysical and/or subsurface datasets.
- Strong understanding of geoscience data management and technical workflows.
- Experience providing software/application support to technical or operational teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to develop and optimise technical workflows.
- Ability to work independently as a technical specialist.
- Previous experience working on complex oil & gas projects.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite in Libya for the full 12-month
