Electronics Technician
Summary
As an Electronics Technician, you play a vital role in the repair and manufacturing work for our radar components. Using standard or custom testing processes as per acceptance test procedures (ATP), you troubleshoot and record results. Applying principles of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, and mechanics, you will also diagnose, repair and test digital, analog, and power circuit systems.
You are meticulous about following our company's policies and industry best practices as well as meeting IPC-610, IPC-620 and J-STD-001 standards. To simplify testing, you may create and recommend changes to our acceptance test procedures (ATPs). You'll get great satisfaction out of ensuring exceptional repairs and build quality radar components, so that we can continue to support those who protect national interests and preserve freedom around the world!
Essential Functions
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and locate faults in complex electronic systems using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers, then repair or replace damaged components
- Installation and Setup: Assemble, configure, and wire new electronic equipment, machinery, or communication networks based on blueprint specifications
- Calibration and Testing: Follow Acceptance Test Procedures to ensure repaired items meet all Technical Order specifications.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine service checks, clean components, and replace worn parts to prevent unexpected failures
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed repair logs, and adhere strictly to health and safety regulations
Core Competency and position requirements
- All levels of education and experience needed! Entry level, Junior, Mid-Level and Senior level opportunities
- Some experience electronics troubleshooting and repair
- Knowledge of Radar systems and components would be beneficial and valuable
- Understanding of basic electricity and electronic theory
- Basic understanding of Voltage, Resistance, Ohm's Law, Magnetism, Capacitance, Inductance, Series circuits and parallel circuits, Transformers, transistors, and amplifiers
- Proficiency in circuit analysis, AC/DC systems, digital logic, and control systems
- Skills in soldering, assembly, calibration, and troubleshooting electronic components and systems
- Ability to operate bench drills, or other hand tools to repair and manufacture parts
- Ability to use the following test equipment: Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering diagrams
- Familiarity with safety standards and compliance with electronic equipment
- Strong communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with Engineers to recommend changes in ATPs and specifications to simplify and enhance Processes and Procedures.

Supervision Received
This position is a direct report to the Production Manager.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology or Electronics Technician Certificate(s) from accredited school or equivalent work or military experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Radar systems and components.
- ESD, IPC-610, IPC-620, and J-STD-001
Physical Factors
May require extensive standing or lifting of heavy objects up to 50lbs.
Working Conditions
This full-time position typically works during our standard business hours with little to no travel
