Job Summary: Remove snow from parking lot and roads by operating heavy equipment in compliance with the Palisades Tahoe safety policies & procedures.

Applicants must be 21 years of age.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $25.71 - $45.15 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

• Operate heavy equipment such as rotary plow, graders, front-end loaders and sand trucks in order to remove snow and keep parking lot and roads safe.

• Inspect vehicles for safe and dependable operation.

• Operate equipment in compliance with the Palisades Tahoe safety policies and procedure to avoid unnecessary collisions or unsafe practices

• Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage to machinery to raise, lower, tilt blades and scoops.

• Perform minor repairs on equipment when necessary to continue operations.

• Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of sitting for long periods of time as much as 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 75lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold, wetness, humidity, and blizzard like conditions

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and operating machinery. They will be occasionally exposed to extreme hot/cold and wet conditions, fumes or airborne particles. Employee will be required to work on uneven and limited footing locations. Working surfaces can be loose or slippery as well.

Equipment Used in Job: Heavy equipment, resort radios

Education and Experience:

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 3 years experience as a heavy equipment operator

• 1 year experience in snow removal

• Valid drivers license and clean driving record

A Motor Vehicle Record review may be required as part of your job.
