Candidates with experience in diesel repair, heavy-equipment maintenance, welding, railcar repair, transportation, intermodal operations, or railroad services are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily railcar inspection, maintenance, welding, and repair activities

Ensure employees receive proper training on job duties, work instructions, safety requirements, and site procedures
Maintain compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, FRA, and DOT regulations
Enforce company, customer, and facility safety policies
Verify that work meets customer requirements, quality procedures, and site standard operating procedures
Monitor site performance against financial, productivity, and service goals
Manage operating expenses and support budget and profit-and-loss objectives
Identify performance gaps and develop appropriate corrective actions
Inspect completed work and address mechanical, welding, or quality concerns
Maintain accurate safety, training, inspection, production, and repair documentation
Communicate with customers, employees, vendors, and company leadership
Respond to operational issues outside regular hours when required
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
Required Qualifications
Previous experience supervising at least five employees
Experience with budgets, operating expenses, or P&L responsibility
Diesel, heavy-equipment, or industrial mechanical experience
Welding experience or a strong working knowledge of welding processes
Ability to lead independently and make sound operational decisions
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Valid state-issued driver's license when operating company vehicles or equipment
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation or respond to operational needs after hours
Previous experience in railcar repair, railroad maintenance, transportation, intermodal operations, fleet maintenance, or terminal management is strongly preferred.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This is an active industrial leadership position performed primarily in an outdoor rail environment. Employees must be able to:
Bend, squat, twist, stand, and walk throughout the workday
Frequently open and close railcar end doors requiring significant pushing and pulling force
Occasionally climb ladders and work at heights exceeding 16 feet
