POSITION SUMMARY
Osborne Coinage is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our dynamic tam. The ideal candidate with be responsible for operating and maintaining printing presses, ensuring high-quality materials, while adhering to production schedules. This role requires a string understanding of layout design, quality control and various printing techniques; making it essential for candidates to possess a blend of technical skills and creative flair.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Operate and maintain blanking and coining presses to produce high-quality printed materials
- Set up and manage blanking operations from raw material to finished product
- Monitor and maintain press speeds at 400 strokes per minute (SPM)
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the blanking and coining process to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Collaborate with the design team to understand layout requirements and implement color management techniques
- Partner with Maintenance to perform scheduled preventive maintenance
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the blanking and coining process and perform necessary adjustments
- Accurately maintain and enter daily production data in Acumatica
- Adhere to all company and OSHA safety protocol, including maintaining an organized, clean work environment and wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite for design adjustments and modifications
- Assist in fabricating print advertising materials, as needed
- High School Diploma / G.E.D. and 2+ years experience (preferred); OR 3+years related experience in lieu of diploma / G.E.D.
- Screen printing and print advertising experience
- Tool and die changeover on a printing press
- Strong knowledge of layout design and color management techniques
- Familiar with CNC operations
- Strong problem-solving skills; troubleshoot equipment issues
- Operate a forklift
