Infection Preventionist - Interim

HCT is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist for an immediate need at a hospital in California. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• providing day-to-day monitoring, identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases,
• monitoring hospital-wide surveillance, and
• collecting and reporting data

Requirements:

• Education: RN required; BSN preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in Infection Control in a hospital setting combined with knowledge of Infection Prevention in the Operating Room, patient care standards, infectious disease, and sterilization/sanitation/disinfection practices; familiarity with NHSN reporting; experience with clinical surveillance system software
• License: State of California RN license required
• Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
• Computer Skills/EMR/EHR: Strong working knowledge of clinical surveillance; other related software applications and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)

Expenses are covered while on assignment including housing, airfare, and rental car.

Pay Range: $150,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and location.
