Role Summary
The Aichi IT Site Lead is accountable for the overall Information Technology strategy, delivery, and performance at the Aichi site. This role serves as a key member of both the site leadership team and the extended global IT organization, driving digital transformation, operational excellence, and business value through technology.
The position integrates site priorities with global IT strategy, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable solutions that enable manufacturing, quality, and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation
- Define and execute the site IT and digital strategy aligned with business priorities and global IT direction
- Lead the site digital transformation agenda, including identification, incubation, and scaling of digital and data-driven use cases (e.g., AI, automation, smart factory)
- Drive measurable business value from IT investments (e.g., efficiency, quality, compliance, cost optimization)
- Promote digital capabilities across the site through workshops, training, and stakeholder engagement
2. IT Operations & Service Delivery
- Ensure reliable, secure, and compliant IT operations supporting manufacturing and laboratory systems (e.g., SAP, MES, LIMS, DCS, MAXIMO)
- Oversee service delivery performance, user experience, and continuous improvement of IT services
- Manage relationships with external service providers and internal delivery teams
3. Governance, Portfolio & Stakeholder Management
- Own site IT governance, demand intake, and prioritization aligned with business strategy and global IT frameworks
- Manage the site IT project portfolio, balancing value, risk, and resource capacity
- Act as the primary IT partner to site leadership, influencing strategic decisions and aligning IT with business needs
- Represent the site in global IT forums and contribute to enterprise initiatives
4. Data, Digital & Innovation Enablement
- Drive site-level data strategy, governance, and data quality to enable analytics and decision-making
- Enable integration of manufacturing and enterprise systems to support digital use cases
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across IT and business teams
5. Compliance, Risk & Cybersecurity
- Ensure compliance with GMP, Computer System Validation (CSV), and corporate IT standards
- Accountable for site IT risk management, including cybersecurity posture and alignment with global security policies (IT/OT environments)
- Act as IT lead for inspections, audits, and investigations
6. People Leadership & Organizational Capability
- Lead, develop, and inspire the site IT organization, including recruitment, coaching, and performance management
- Define and execute workforce and capability development strategies aligned with future business needs
- Drive a high-performance, inclusive culture aligned with BMS values
7. Financial Management
- Manage the site IT budget, including operating and capital expenditures
- Ensure effective financial planning, cost control, and value realization across initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in IT within a regulated environment (preferably pharmaceutical manufacturing)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills in a global, matrix organization
- Proven experience in digital transformation, project/portfolio management, and service delivery
- Solid understanding of GMP, CSV, and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
