About The Opportunity
This position is responsible for all aspects of operating a Rotary Die Press Machine, including but not limited to set up, running, troubleshooting rework and resetting of die boards and ink management. They will also wash the plates after a production run has been completed.Work Hours: B Shift
Day Shift: 6AM-6PM
3-2-2-3 Schedule
Pay:
Training: $31.42
Qualified: $33.78
Essential Functions:
Set up, operate, and monitor machine to produce corrugated products and record operational data
Prepare and troubleshoot die boards and printing plates for the next production run
Installation of printing plates and die/anilox boards
Run the pre-feeder & stacker
Clean and rebuild ink chambers, including understanding and preparing PH and viscosity of ink used in production
Stage various items to next production order, such as plates, ink, UV coating, die boards
Check PH
Clean the water filter system
Check finished product for quality per customer specifications
Ensure quality is a work priority by being attentive to detail and accuracy and by actively seeking work process improvements
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Safety-sensitive position: ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Ability to stand, sit, kneel and bend over for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly if necessary
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed based on business needs
Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
Ability to effectively work in teams
Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
Ability to read a tape measure/ruler
Ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job
