WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Quality Assurance Review (QAR) team performs a critical function to ensure enterprise-wide compliance with OSFI E-13 regulatory requirements and supports executive reporting on RBC’s overall state of Compliance. This team leader role supports Enterprise Compliance's oversight of RBC's RCM Programs for Functions within the Functions Compliance Oversight Program (FCOP) as well as ongoing Issues management.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Manage a team of 3 GG08 staff responsible for executing QARs for which the team leader is responsible to oversee.
- Key team leader responsibilities include:
- ensuring all required stakeholder communications (e.g. notifications, information requests, etc.) are provided to stakeholders by the team accurately and on-time;
- reviewing and presenting preliminary results to the QAR Director prior to stakeholder socialization;
- providing one-up reviews and approvals for Working Papers;
- reviewing draft Scope Documents and Final Reports before they are sent for RCM Senior Director approval;
- supporting the team with stakeholder discussions; and
- creating and managing QAR-identified Issues to closure via the Enterprise Issues Management (EIM) system.
- Note that as the team and stakeholders are global, the team leader may need to facilitate stakeholder discussions without the team due to time zone limitations.
- Additionally, assist the wider QAR team as required on other components or initiatives of the QAR Program (e.g. continuous improvement, process changes, annual planning).
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- Undergraduate degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience (i.e. transferrable skills).
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Understanding of RCM regulatory requirements and related methodologies.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with conducting quality assurance reviews or control testing or assessments, particularly in a risk management/compliance context.
Certified audit/ compliance/risk management professional.

For Vancouver & Toronto: The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $90,000-$120,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits.
