Location: Bronx, NY
Position: Construction Inspector – Concrete / Structural Steel Façade / Masonry
Project Type: Large-Scale Public Construction Project
Pay Rate: $65-72/hr pending experience

Laland Baptiste, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support concrete, structural steel façade, and masonry work on a large-scale public construction project in the Bronx.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of concrete, structural steel façade, and masonry construction activities.
- Inspect formwork, reinforcing steel/rebar, embeds, concrete placement, curing, and related structural work.
- Monitor masonry installation, including CMU, brick, mortar, reinforcing, flashing, and related façade components.
- Inspect exterior envelope/façade work for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Verify materials and workmanship meet contract documents and applicable codes.
- Coordinate required concrete testing and review field testing activities.
- Identify deficiencies and document non-conforming work.
- Prepare detailed daily inspection reports, photographs, and field documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, construction management staff, testing agencies, and other inspectors.
- Assist with punch-list inspections and corrective work.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of construction inspection experience involving concrete, masonry, structural, or façade work preferred.
- Strong knowledge of concrete placement, reinforcing steel, masonry construction, and building-envelope systems.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings and specifications.
- Experience on large commercial, institutional, government, or public-sector projects preferred.
- NYC public-agency construction experience is a plus.
- Relevant concrete, masonry, welding, façade, or special inspection certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong field documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in the Bronx.
