Position Summary...

The Senior Partner, Ad Partner Management will expand Walmart Connect’s independent agency ecosystem by identifying, engaging, and onboarding agencies that are new to Walmart Connect. This new business development role will build relationships with agency leaders, convert qualified prospects into active partners, and drive advertiser activation and incremental investment across Walmart Connect’s advertising solutions.
The role will also manage select recently onboarded agencies through defined activation and growth milestones before transitioning qualified partners into the appropriate long-term growth cohort.

About the Team
The Independent Agency Partnerships team drives growth across Walmart Connect’s independent agency ecosystem, supporting partners from acquisition and activation through sustained growth and strategic expansion.
The team builds and scales agency partnerships that increase advertiser participation, investment, and adoption of Walmart Connect’s advertising solutions.

What you'll do...

  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of net-new independent agencies, prioritizing opportunities based on advertiser portfolio, revenue potential, strategic fit, and readiness to activate.
  • Develop relationships with agency executives and decision-makers to understand their clients, capabilities, business priorities, and retail media needs.
  • Source new opportunities through direct outreach, Walmart Connect’s Partner Network, DSP and technology partners, industry relationships, and cross-functional sales teams.
  • Own the agency journey from qualification through onboarding, advertiser activation, first campaign launch, first media investment, and early-stage growth.
  • Manage recently onboarded agencies through defined activation and growth milestones, then transition qualified partners into the appropriate long-term growth cohort.
  • Drive net-new advertiser participation, incremental investment, repeat spend, and adoption across Walmart Connect solutions, including Sponsored Search, Display, Offsite, Walmart DSP, Connected TV, VIZIO, and emerging offerings.
  • Develop scalable acquisition and onboarding programs that improve conversion and accelerate time to activation.
  • Partner across Sales, Product, Marketing, Measurement, Operations, Partner Network, Training, and technical teams to coordinate enablement, address agency needs, and remove barriers to growth.
  • Maintain strong CRM, pipeline, and forecasting discipline and track performance across acquisition, activation, revenue, product adoption, engagement, and retention.
  • Translate agency feedback, competitive intelligence, and market trends into opportunities to strengthen Walmart Connect’s products, processes, and growth strategy.

What you’ll bring...

  • Experience in business development, partnerships, media sales, digital advertising, retail media, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage the full business development lifecycle from prospecting and qualification through activation, revenue generation, and early-stage account growth.
  • Demonstrated success building pipelines, developing new relationships, and converting opportunities into measurable revenue.
  • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to evaluate business potential and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
  • Ability to translate advertising products, audience capabilities, and measurement solutions into clear commercial value for agencies and advertisers.
  • Experience developing scalable partner programs, onboarding processes, or growth strategies.
  • Strong CRM, forecasting, and performance-management discipline.
  • Ability to use data, market insights, and competitive dynamics to guide business decisions.
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills with agency leaders, technology partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Knowledge of the agency ecosystem and digital advertising solutions, including Search, Display, programmatic and DSP, Connected TV, measurement, and attribution.
