Job Description

The Business Development Specialist drives demand generation and pipeline growth by engaging prospective and existing customers through inbound and outbound outreach, qualifying sales opportunities, and executing targeted marketing and sales campaigns. This role partners with Sales and Marketing to identify customer needs, advance qualified opportunities through the sales funnel, and maintain accurate customer and opportunity data within Salesforce. Success requires strong communication and relationship-building skills, effective prospecting and qualification techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering an exceptional customer experience and measurable pipeline impact.

Your role:

  • Execute inbound and outbound customer engagement activities across phone, email, digital, and marketing channels to identify customer needs, qualify opportunities, and generate pipeline.
  • Conduct customer discovery, lead qualification, and opportunity development by assessing business needs, buying intent, and engagement readiness, then determining appropriate next steps for sales follow-up.
  • Manage sales and marketing campaigns from planning through completion, including campaign execution, lead follow-up, qualification activities, opportunity creation, performance tracking, and optimization.
  • Maintain accurate customer, lead, contact, and opportunity records within Salesforce and related systems while leveraging advanced knowledge of demand generation processes, lead management workflows, and campaign operations to drive operational excellence.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance AI-enabled tools, dashboards, reports, and automation solutions that provide actionable business insights, support decision-making, improve process efficiency, and enable continuous improvement across demand generation activities.

You're the right fit if:

  • 1+ years of experience in demand generation, inside sales, lead qualification, campaign operations, or customer engagement within a healthcare technology environment, with a demonstrated ability to generate and qualify sales opportunities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage customers, conduct discovery conversations, identify customer needs, qualify opportunities, and build relationships that support pipeline growth and commercial objectives.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, with strong attention to detail in managing customer, lead, contact, and opportunity data, campaign attribution, and reporting. Experience developing, maintaining, or utilizing AI-enabled tools, dashboards, reports, and automation solutions, with an understanding of demand generation workflows, campaign management processes, and data-driven decision-making.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
