Portfolio Price Analyst

Job Overview

The Portfolio Price Analyst supports portfolio-level pricing strategy and quote execution for assigned product areas. This role partners with Business Units, Sales, Finance, and Operations to deliver accurate, competitive, compliant, and data-driven pricing decisions that support revenue growth, margin protection, and long-term price integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing strategies for assigned portfolios, aligning product strategy, market dynamics, customer needs, competitive position, and financial goals.
  • Quote Execution & Escalation Management: Process quotes accurately within SLA targets and escalate strategic, high-volume, restricted, low-margin, or high-value requests as needed.
  • Pricing Compliance & Governance: Ensure pricing decisions follow channel margin policy, end-customer price consistency, LOA, NDA, license, high-risk part, and approval requirements.
  • Margin Protection & Value Capture: Challenge pricing actions that may cause margin leakage, negative precedent, or missed value-capture opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Business Units and Sales to manage escalations, update pricing strategies, and align decisions with portfolio, account, and opportunity priorities.
  • Market & Portfolio Intelligence: Maintain product and market knowledge and manage price curves based on market movement, lifecycle stage, volume, and competitive intensity.
  • Analytics & Recommendations: Use ADI Price Assistant and data to analyze pipeline, quote conversion, revenue, and margin trends and recommend optimization opportunities.
  • Process Improvement & Knowledge Sharing: Identify process gaps, recommend scalable improvements, support tool enhancements, train new pricers, and share pricing best practices.
  • KPI tracking and success matrix adherence: Demonstrate a clear understanding of the pricer success matrix and adhere to defined KPI expectations to support consistent execution, accountability, pricing discipline, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in pricing, sales operations, finance, analytics, contract management, or commercial operations.
  • Strong business judgment and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret pricing, pipeline, revenue, quote conversion, margin, customer, and portfolio data.
  • Experience with Model N is highly desirable but not essential. Candidates with experience using other pricing or commercial systems, such as Vendavo, Oracle, SAP S/4HANA, Pricefx, ERP, CPQ, or CRM platforms, will also be considered.
  • Willingness and ability to use approved AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, support data analysis, generate insights, and enhance pricing-related decision-making, while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate human oversight.
  • Strong Excel skills for pricing and portfolio analysis. Experience with PowerPoint and Power BI is beneficial.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work under pressure and navigate difficult conversations professionally.
  • High attention to detail in quote accuracy, compliance, documentation, approvals, and SLA commitments.
  • Adaptable and improvement-oriented, with the ability to identify process gaps and support scalable improvements across Pricing, Sales, Business Units, Finance, and Operations.
