Description
1) GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hospital facilities and M&E systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role supports Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programmes, attends to breakdowns and service requests, assists with vendor activities, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, contributing to uninterrupted clinical services and overall facility reliability.
2) JOB DESCRIPTION
Main Responsibilities
Execute daily maintenance tasks such as PPM and Corrective Maintenance.
Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs.
Perform routine maintenance as per scheduled.
Assist vendors during maintenance work.
Update maintenance records and report issues to superior.
Follow instruction and SOP as per required.
Supervise and coordinates vendors to ensure works complies with specification, safety standard and contract scope.
Check spare part stock and ensure the stock are enough. Report to Facility Engineer if need to do ordering of spare part.
Carry out assigned duties and respond to equipment breakdowns within stipulated response times in accordance with service level expectations.
Attends meetings held by the services in order to discuss issues and matters pertaining to the operation of the service.
Participate in internal and external audits, including ISO and MSQH audits, and support compliance with relevant standards and corrective actions.
Project a professional image while performing daily duties through personal grooming.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Perform any other responsibilities assigned by immediate superior or hospital management.
3) JOB REQUIREMENT
Certificate (Sijil) in Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services or
Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering / Facilities Management or
SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) Level 2 or 3 in any building facility.
Minimum 3–5 years of working experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
Knowledge of audit such as ISO and MSQH audit.
Experience working in engineering team, handling work order, using engineering system (CMMS) and control inventory.
Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Basic knowledge in building operation and maintenance.
Results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Strong ethics and integrity.
