Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Analyzes recorded and/or live surveillance video in the gaming facility in and around the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino to detect any suspicious and/or illicit activities that may pose a risk to team members, vendors, guests, Tribal residents, or operations.
2. Conducts thorough and accountable observations across the gaming facility, including but not limited to Yaamava' Resort & Casino, the event center, venues, and parking structures. Ensures the integrity and accuracy of all findings by producing detailed, well-documented reports supported by precise data entry.
3. Efficiently manage simultaneous telephone and radio communications in high-pressure environments, ensuring accurate capture, logging, and analysis of critical information using surveillance software and databases. Maintain exceptional situational awareness and precision while performing complex multitasking responsibilities independently.
4. Collaborates and communicates effectively with Casino team members and leadership to obtain relevant incident details for the investigation of the activity within the gaming facility, requested reviews, injury or illness claims/reports, and safety risks.
5. Performs routine camera patrols of the gaming facility within Yaamava' Resort & Casino, as well as the parking structures to ensure the safety and security of team members, vendors, guests, Tribal residents, or operations.
6. Conducts extensive reviews and exports video evidence for incidents across various Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation owned and operated properties.
7. Ensures a thorough and up-to-date understanding of Tribal Gaming Commission internal controls, policies, and procedures applicable to the gaming facility, Federal and State regulations, as well as Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), through continuous testing and examination, including monthly quizzes and tests on regulations and SOPs as required by regulation, to identify areas for improvement and reinforce adherence to established guidelines.
8. Conducts routine and systematic camera functionality checks to ensure optimal performance of surveillance systems. Identifies and responds to equipment malfunctions by submitting detailed technical work orders, demonstrating the ability to recognize when a camera is not operating correctly. Proactively monitors and reports any additional issues related to surveillance equipment, supporting the integrity and reliability of surveillance operations.
9. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in surveillance, security, or relevant casino experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and research skills.
Must possess some report writing knowledge and able to communicate verbally.
Must be able to understand and use various database management systems and the technological components of computers.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS – ENVIRONMENT

Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.
Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
