Join us to strengthen If’s position as a trusted risk partner for Estonia’s largest and most complex corporate customers. As Strategic Account Executive, you will own strategic customer relationships, grow a profitable portfolio and lead tailored insurance solutions that support our customers’ long-term business continuity.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Strategic Account Executive to join our Baltic Strategic Accounts Sales team in Tallinn.
In this role, you will manage relationships with some of Estonia’s largest and most complex corporate customers, with a strong focus on Health and/or Property insurance, profitable portfolio growth and new business. As the primary commercial contact, you will lead cross-functional account teams and work closely with Underwriting, Risk Engineering, Claims and other specialists to deliver competitive, risk-aware and sustainable insurance solutions.
You will have considerable autonomy in developing your portfolio and customer strategy, access to Baltic and Nordic expertise, and the opportunity to contribute to If’s Strategic Accounts business across the Baltics.
You will be responsible for
- Identifying and acquiring new large and complex corporate customers in Estonia.
- Building and managing a qualified pipeline of strategic opportunities across direct and broker channels.
- Leading new-business and renewal processes, from opportunity assessment and negotiations to onboarding and long-term customer development.
- Acting as the primary commercial contact and trusted adviser for customers and brokers.
- Understanding each customer’s business, risks and insurance needs, and translating them into tailored insurance and risk-management solutions.
- Developing and executing customer-specific account plans that support portfolio growth, customer retention and long-term value creation.
- Coordinating cross-functional account teams with Underwriting, Risk Engineering, Claims and other specialists to ensure high-quality customer solutions.
- Managing public procurements and complex tenders with a structured, commercially sound approach.
- Representing Estonia in Baltic initiatives and contributing market and customer insights to strengthen If’s Strategic Accounts business.
What do we expect from you?
- At least five years of relevant experience in commercial insurance sales, underwriting, brokerage, finance or large corporate account management.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance and underwriting principles.
- Experience working with large and complex corporate customers and building long-term commercial relationships.
- A proven ability to generate new business, manage renewals and develop profitable customer portfolios.
- Strong commercial judgement combined with analytical, structured and risk-aware thinking.
- Confidence in managing complex negotiations, tenders, broker relationships and customer-specific account plans.
- The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, influence stakeholders and drive topics forward independently.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in Estonian and English.
- Readiness to travel within Estonia and occasionally across the Baltics.
Our promise to you
For stability
- The monthly gross salary for this position is €4,500–5,000, depending on your experience and qualifications. In addition, you will be eligible for an annual performance bonus.

- A flexible way of working: our primary workplace is the office, with the possibility of hybrid work. Job location: Tallinn.
For development
- Commercial ownership of relationships with some of Estonia’s largest corporate customers.
- The opportunity to shape If’s Strategic Accounts business across the Baltics and contribute to long-term customer value.
- Access to experienced Baltic and Nordic specialists in Sales, Underwriting, Risk Engineering and Claims.
- Considerable autonomy in developing your portfolio, customer strategy and ways of working.
- Opportunities for professional development through training, international initiatives and knowledge sharing across If.
