Responsibilities
Assist with Medicaid and charity care application procedures, educating patients about their financial liabilities, and developing patient payment arrangements for said liabilities. The Financial Counselor is a facility-based position.
HOURS: VARIABLE, MONDAY-FRIDAY, 6AM-6PM
Qualifications
Education- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s from a recognized college or university Preferred
- 3 years of previous related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience, preferably with a focus in Financial Counseling Required
- 4 years of previous related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience, preferably with a focus in Financial Counseling Preferred
- Call center experience. Preferred
- Previous Epic experience. Preferred
- None Required
- Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association Preferred
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Preferred
