Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience

Shift: PM Shift length: 12 Hour
Days off: Variable Hours per pay period: 72

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse (Vascular Access Nurse) is a licensed professional who provides vascular access services in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center.  The Registered Nurse prioritizes patient needs for vascular access, coordinates patient needs for vascular access and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care. 

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

One year of acute nursing experience

Desired:

RN experience in critical care withing the past five years

RN experience working with a Vascular team

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing

Current CPR recognition

Current ACLS (within 3 months of hire)

Current Vascular Access Board Certification (VA-BC) or equivalent (within 1 year) *Current Vascular Access RNs will have until 8/31/2027 to obtain

Desired:

Certification in IV Therapy or 3 years’ experience working with a Vascular Access team

PICC line certification or 3 years’ experience working with a Vascular Access team

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis.  Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
