Job Description:

The Receiving/Mill Operator provides Mars Petcare with the knowledge and skills to effectively and safely Batch/mix raw materials into high-quality products; efficiently receive, test, analyze, and process raw ingredients.

What are we looking for?

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years' experience (manufacturing environment preferred).

  • Good basic math, reading, and writing skills.

  • Good mechanical aptitude.

  • Basic knowledge of personal computers.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Good housekeeping skills and knowledge of GMP's.

  • Ability and willingness to develop and manage self, demonstrate self directed workgroup leadership and contribute to efficiency, quality, and cost optimization with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to operate forklift in a safe manner.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions such as heat, cold,  high and/or confined spaces and have full mobility with the ability to climb ladders and stairs.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Ensure adherence to all site food safety and security practices

  • Actively address food safety and quality concerns.

  • Unloading of all incoming raw materials

  • Major bin strategy coordination

  • Hard stock grinder management

  • Batching System Operation

  • Meet cut-off and tones requirements

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment that promotes associate safety and product integrity

  • Improve operations through individual and group problem solving

  • Actively address food safety and quality concerns

  • Other duties as assigned.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range listed is applicable to IL:USD 20.35 - USD 27.98
