Description

About the Role

  • We are looking for a sharp, analytically rigorous, and highly organized professional to serve as Vertical Analyst and Data Analytics Lead within our Global Strategy Office, based in Bangalore. This is a hybrid role built for someone who can operate as a trusted right hand to senior leadership — orchestrating strategic priorities and cross-functional execution — while personally owning the data and market analysis that underpins every major decision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pipeline Management & Vertical Mapping

  • Own end to end visibility of the global opportunity and project pipeline within sales force, ensuring accurate stage tracking, forecasting and reporting
  • Partner with sales and business development teams to monitor pipeline health, flag stalled opportunities and support forecast accuracy for leadership reviews.
  • Conduct structured mapping of focus verticals with particular emphasis on New Energy, Infrastructure and Heavy Equipment’s including account universe, key players, and competitive positioning
  • Collaborate with sales, business development and finance team to translate and map customers into an appropriate vertical as per industry development

2. Market Intelligence & Analyst

  • Personally own the analysis of large, multi-source datasets (sales, market, operational, financial) to surface trends, risks, and white-space opportunities.
  • Lead deep-dive market analysis on focus verticals such as Data Centers and adjacent high-growth infrastructure markets — sizing, segmentation, competitive dynamics, and demand signals.
  • Build and maintain executive-grade dashboards and models (Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel) that leadership relies on for real-time decision-making.
  • Establish data governance and reporting standards so insight generation scales beyond any one individual or team.

3. Program & Portfolio Execution

  • Coordinate execution of the highest-priority global strategic initiatives, ensuring they stay on track, on budget, and aligned to leadership intent.
  • Maintain a portfolio-level view of strategic projects using tools such as Smartsheet, tracking interdependencies, risks, and resourcing gaps across regions.
  • Use Salesforce and other CRM/ERP data to connect market intelligence directly to commercial pipeline and account strategy.

4. Tools & Systems

  • Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet, Salesforce, Power BI or Tableau, and Excel; working familiarity with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Comfort building lightweight automations, templates, and self-serve dashboards that reduce manual reporting burden across the team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 8–10 years of experience in business/data analytics, management consulting, or global program management, ideally within a large industrial, engineering, or manufacturing organization.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skill set, with hands-on experience in data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel).
  • Prior exposure to Data Center, Infrastructure, Industrial Automation, or related B2B verticals is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Smartsheet, Salesforce, and/or SAP or equivalent ERP/CRM platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.

Key Competencies

  • Trusted, discreet, and comfortable operating close to senior leadership on sensitive matters
  • Analytically rigorous with a strong data-first instinct, but equally strong on execution and follow-through
  • Able to move fluidly between 30,000-foot strategy and detailed data work
  • High ownership and self-direction; thrives with broad, loosely defined mandates
  • Strong influence-without-authority skills across a global matrix organization

Success in the First 6 Months Looks Like

  • A functioning leadership operating rhythm (QBRs, strategy reviews) that the leadership team relies on
  • A live, trusted dashboard suite covering the Data Center vertical and 1–2 other focus areas
  • Demonstrated ability to turn a messy, ambiguous strategic question into a clear, data-backed recommendation within days, not weeks

What We Offer

  • Unusually proximity to senior leadership and enterprise-level decision-making
  • A role that blends strategy, analytics, and execution rather than confining you to one lane
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and a clear path to broader strategic role
