About Fiducre
Fiducre is a leading player in the area of debt recovery in Belgium. The company is a subsidiary of ING Belgium and employs around 160 people. The clients are Belgian financial institutions and banks.
The company has two main activities:
Fiducre is active on the Belgian debt recovery market, purchasing recent or depreciated portfolios from the mother company (ING Belgium) and from Record Credits (subsidiary of ING Belgium) and also from other financial institutions. The recovery and risk of default is supported by Fiducre since it recovers the outstanding debts for own account. ING Belgium and Record Credits also outsource their arrears management to Fiducre. For these activities Fiducre is mandated by ING Belgium and Record Credits.
About Record Credits
Record Credits is the market leader in the Belgian credit brokerage market and focuses on private individuals. It works with an extensive network of independent credit brokers and garages and offers its customers a full range of home and consumer loans. It is a subsidiary of ING Belgium and employs over 100 people.
Your role
This role reports hierarchically to the HR Lead for Retail Banking and functionally to both the CEO of Fiducre and the CEO of Record Credits. You lead the team of 4 HR employees and 1 communication officer. Your place of employment is Brussels (Marnix), but you also make regular trips to Ghent (where a part of the Fiducre employees is stationedirectly to the HR Director of ING Belgium.
As Head of People & Culture you co-create the Human Resources strategy for both Fiducre and Record Credits. You are responsible for HR "end to end" and lead the joint HR department of both companies. You
work with the business leadership teams to shape and implement the people agenda within the business through enhancing leadership capabilities and driving strategic people decisions, such as organizational effectiveness, talent and succession planning, people development and team performance.
As people management, corporate culture and communication have a lot of common ground, you will also manage the communication strategy within Fiducre and work on cultural and wellbeing initiatives in general.
Your key responsibilities
You are responsible for building a strong relationship within the business leadership teams of both companies and will bring in-depth specialist knowledge in multiple HR areas of expertise. Equally, you bring in a strong business acumen and affinity with the banking business.
“End to end” HR management
- You manage all HR aspects within the company, hiring to firing” (the majority of the HR processes being different to the processes on ING level).
- You organise and coordinate the HR administrative processes like payroll, time & absence, benefits…). You ensure competitive and compliant reward structures and organize and coordinate the yearly remuneration reviews.
- You oversee and organize recruitment processes to attract and retain talent, you focus on workforce planning, talent management and career guidance.
- You maintain and coordinate, together with the CEO, the relations with the social partners (Works Council, Committee for Prevention, Trade Union delegation). You are responsible for the drafting and implementation of the companies’ CLA’s.
- HR Policies, Compliance & Risk: You manage and draft policies, procedures, and ensure adherence to labour laws and regulations. You monitor the Compliance and Risk aspects within the HR domain.
- You manage the contractual relations of HR with external partners and suppliers, including with the Social Secretariat.
Communication
You lead the communication officer responsible for all external and internal communications. Together with the communication officer, you take on an advisory role to various departments regarding communication in the broadest sense of the word and you monitor the house style and the right "tone-of-voice" in our communications. You develop a solid internal and external employer branding strategy.
Culture, wellbeing and prevention
You actively support the management team in the renewal of the company culture by promoting the values of the company, working on employer branding and driving initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture. You proactively work on different wellbeing initiatives and in collaboration with the prevention advisors, you make sure all regulation on prevention are proactively followed up. You are the Chairman of the Prevention Committee.

- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Affinity with numbers and data and a good understanding on how data analysis and reporting support building the people agenda.
- Demonstrated consultation skills to help the business in understanding their people needs and propose the right solution to fit that need.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a clear demonstration of influencing business leaders.
- Strong business acumen and ability to adapt quickly to financial industry, a good understanding of financial sector is a plus.
You are a strong communicator at all levels of the organization, with story-telling abilities. Fluent in English (speaking and writing) and good knowledge of French and/or Dutch. You have a Master’s degree level working/thinking capacity and 8–10 years of HR experience, including leadership roles.
