JOB SUMMARY

The ACD–SS Project Lead is a business project and program management role within RIO Shared Services. The role provides structured project management and SME support for ACD–SS priorities and selected cross-R&D/CMO initiatives.

This role supports key RIO and enterprise priorities, including Veeva technical publishing initiatives and broader Veeva program activities. The Project Lead drives planning, governance, stakeholder alignment, milestone delivery, risk mitigation, and dependency management across matrixed teams to keep work moving and aligned to strategic objectives.

The role also supports continuous improvement by improving process efficiency, strengthening ways of working, enabling business readiness, and advancing practical AI and digital innovation across ACD–SS workflows.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

End-to-End Project & Program Management

· Define and execute structured project management frameworks, tools, and methodologies across planning, execution, and project closeout.

· Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, integrated timelines, critical path milestones, deliverable schedules, and resource/dependency trackers.

· Proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and cross-functional dependencies; establish robust decision-tracking logs and structured issue escalation pathways.

· Maintain momentum across workstreams, removing operational roadblocks and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery aligned with business needs.

Veeva & Enterprise Initiative Project Leadership

· Provide dedicated business project management support for Veeva technical publishing initiatives and broader Veeva program rollouts.

· Partner with technical leads, system owners, and business users to translate business requirements into clear project milestones, cutover plans, and execution schedules.

· Ensure business readiness, dependency mapping, and risk mitigation strategies are embedded into all Veeva deployment and operational workstreams.

Stakeholder Engagement & Project Governance

· Establish and facilitate project governance structures, meeting cadences, action item tracking, and formal status reporting.

· Serve as a key coordination point across matrixed teams, fostering cross-functional alignment between ACD–SS, GRS, RIO Shared Services, CMO stakeholders, and external partners.

· Deliver clear, concise, and structured risk communications, executive summaries, and milestone updates to both local and global audiences.

Process Improvement & Practical AI Innovation

· Identify and drive targeted process improvement opportunities that optimize workflow efficiency and enhance ways of working across ACD–SS.

· Champion and support the practical application and integration of AI-driven innovations, automation tools, and modern digital capabilities into routine operational processes.


QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Indicate qualifications and skills that are necessary for performance of responsibilities including: education, relevant experience, licenses, certifications and other job-related technical and managerial skills.

Education & Experience

· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

· Experience: 5–7+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated experience in Regulatory Sciences, Regulatory Operations, Global Regulatory Affairs, or related business project management functions.

· Proven track record managing complex project deliverables without requiring direct supervisory or people-management authority.

Technical & Professional Competencies

· Project Management Discipline: Demonstrated expertise in applying structured project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid), project scheduling tools, risk management frameworks, and dependency mapping techniques across complex business initiatives.

· Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory sciences, regulatory submissions processes, drug development lifecycles, and the business context for regulatory information management and technical publishing systems (experience with Veeva RIM / Veeva Vault platforms preferred).

· Leadership through Influence: Proven ability to lead cross-functional, matrixed project teams, coordinate work across internal and external partners, and drive consensus without direct line authority.

· Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to synthesize complex project status, risks, and strategic considerations into clear, actionable updates for diverse stakeholders.

· Problem-Solving & Agility: High degree of agility, proactive problem-solving orientation, and resilience in managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, global matrix environment.

· Innovation & Digital Mindset: Demonstrated aptitude and enthusiasm for exploring and implementing practical AI tools, process automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.

· Direct Reporting Line: ACD–SS Leadership Team Member (Director / Senior Director).

· Key Internal Stakeholders: ACD–SS Team Members, Global Regulatory & International Operations (RIO) Leads, Chief Medical Office (CMO) and Global Regulatory Sciences (GRS) Stakeholders, Veeva Program Teams, Digital/BT Partners.

· External Stakeholders: External strategic partners, service vendors, and technical solution providers.

· Position Type / Track: Professional Track (Individual Contributor – Project / Program Management focus).
