What you’ll do

⦿ Oven Operation and Monitoring: Operate and monitor industrial ovens used for heat treating castings, ensuring all ovens are at required temperatures at shift start and maintaining those temperatures throughout the shift. 

⦿ Load Preparation and Coordination: Prepare oven loads by organizing castings according to alloy type and section size, coordinate with other operators on load sequencing, and charge ovens with the correct recipes. 

⦿ Record Keeping and Quality Control: Maintain accurate heat treat records including alloy type, load details, time in oven, and visual inspection of castings to ensure quality standards are met. 

⦿ Maintenance Support: Assist with basic oven maintenance and report any deviations such as temperature drops or unexpected shutdowns promptly to minimize downtime. 

⦿ *Daily Success Indicators: Consistently follow heat treat processes, maintain oven parameters within specifications, demonstrate progressive learning and autonomy, and contribute to a safe work environment.

What you’ll bring 

Must-haves: 

⦿ High School Diploma or GED. 

⦿ Ability to follow detailed instructions and heat treat recipes accurately. 

Nice-to-haves: 

⦿ Previous experience working in heat treatment, foundry, or manufacturing environments with exposure to high temperatures. 

⦿ Experience operating forklifts or coordinating with material handling teams. 

⦿ Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and respond to equipment deviations.
